Hello Readers! We often get overwhelmed or stressed out by certain events in our life. I feel that we should look out for the little things in life, which have the ability to bring a smile on our faces and rejuvenate us. LITTLE THINGS! “That’s it! We are done with this project now!”, said Shreya as she finished reading their project report once again. “I really hope so Shreya, but I have a strong feeling that according to Sir, we would be far from done” said Gauri as they got up to go towards their project guide’s cabin. Shreya, Gauri and Vidhi were working together on a semester long project and had their final presentation the following day. True enough, their project guide, Joshi sir was not impressed. He spent an hour explaining to them what changes were needed and what more work he wanted. “But Sir, we have already made tables for all the results and…” Vidhi began to lose her patience. “Do whatever I say. It’s for your betterment only. Don’t waste your time ...

Wishing all of my readers a very Happy New Year! Have a wonderful 2019! In the spirit of Christmas and New Year, here is my next story. Hope you like it. SANTA CLAUS Rhea had just gotten over with all her projects and exams in college. Being a morning person, she used to get up early to work and was looking forward to a good, long sleep, without the annoying sounds of alarms. “Finally, I can sleep as much as I want” Rhea said, getting into bed.   “Not that there is ever going to be a time, when you don’t want to sleep”, her mother said laughing. “Whatever mom…now let me sleep”. Rhea said as she switched off the lights and curled up in her cosy blanket. It was a cold, winter morning. Mrs Dsouza sat with her cup of coffee, reading the newspaper. “Same old, murder, robbery, rape…”, she mumbled to herself as she flipped the pages looking for some better news. Suddenly she caught sight of the date on the newspaper. It read 23 rd December 2018. “Today is 23 ...
Hello Everyone!!! Life is beautiful, but it is too short to fight and dwell on small things. Let's try and nurture our relationships with the people that matter the most to us. Here is my next story. Hope you like it. THE BEST GIFT It had been raining heavily since morning. Ananya was really hoping that her birthday get-together that evening, brought in some spark and excitement, to suppress the gloomy weather. Looking gorgeous, Ananya sat at a table near the entrance of her favorite restaurant, ‘Italiano Special’, waiting eagerly for her best friend, Akshita. She had asked her to come a little early. “Where is Akshita? That girl is always late!”, Ananya murmured to herself, as she glanced towards her watch. She was feeling extremely conscious of herself, sitting there alone, all dressed up.   After what seemed like eternity, Ananya’s eyes finally caught sight of Akshita rushing towards her. “Sorry… sorry, I know I got late. Actually, I could not find ...
Here goes my first story! Hope you enjoy it! JUST DO IT! Myra woke up with a start as she heard the cuckoo clock in her room coo four times. It was four in the morning. She had dozed off with her head rested on the table. Dazed, she ran her fingers through her hair and looked around her. Her table was a mess, with paperwork strewn all over, among which was her laptop and her coffee mug. It was all in preparation of the presentation that she had to give that morning in office. Myra had no idea how long she had slept off, but knew for sure that her work, was far from complete and she could not afford any more sleep. She made herself some more coffee and started off again. The presentation had been a complete disaster. Gaurav came out of the meeting room both shocked and fuming with anger. As was his habit whenever he was angry, he kept pressing the tip of his click pen repeatedly. “Sir...” Gaurav turned around to see two of his employees standing with their heads b...
